Shellac
0.00€Orange Indian shellac is one of the most consumed types of natural lacquer. It produces a varnish with a color close to common varnishes that "yellow" the wood and contains a percentage of natural wax that makes the finish more susceptible to stains due to humidity.
Although less used, it is still a highly valued finish today, with the technique called French polishing being the most popular way of finishing wood with shellac.
To enhance the beauty of furniture and wooden pieces, few finishes are so highly valued. In addition to fully showing the beauty of wood, its low toxicity makes it perfect for items in contact with food and toys.

Silver Leaf
0.00€Each silver leaf book contains 25 sheets, which measure 95mm x 95mm. A silver book will cover an area of 0.23m² without waste or overlap (the amount of waste can be determined by the gilder's own level of expertise and will depend on the complexity of the surface to be gilded). The higher the silver content of a foil, the more resistant it will be to tarnishing – this means that silver foil must always be protected from the atmosphere with a proprietary lacquer.
